Questions:
1. Ever visited/lived in Savannah?
2. What's the best thing about reading short stories, in your opinion?

I was born and raised in Savannah. It's a magical place filled with romance, and love.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I like the most about reading the short stories in Boroughs Lunch Box romance line is my busy life has huge time demands. It's easy to fit a short story in during my day. Check out all the LBRs at Boroughs Publishing Group - where story matters.
Never visited Savannah, but hope to some day.
ReplyDeleteCan't say what's the best thing about short stories, except, maybe, that they're SHORT! Ha ha! I look forward to being able to read yours. It sounds like fun!
You've been tearing up the short story scene too, Stacy. I'm looking forward to having a look at your new one - the Christmas vampire story got published in an anthology, as I recall. Shorts rock.
ReplyDeleteSo great to see you here,
Paula
I've never even been to Georgia, though that's changing this summer. :) I don't actually enjoy most short stories, because they tend to not get as deep as a longer story has time to do so.
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about short stories is it gives me a chance to vet new authors. I get a sense for their style and what I can expect, without investing in an entire novel.
When I'm looking for a new author to read, I will frequently buy an anthology on a topic I enjoy.
By the way, congratulations on the sale! I can't wait to pick it up. I love this short story!
Thanks for stopping by, Samantha!
ReplyDeleteThat's right, Romance Writer's of America's annual conference is held in Atlanta this year! Hotlanta, as we like to call it in the summer.
I'm super-stoked about my story - I hope the revisions we've added make it accessible to a wide audience. Keep your eyes open for release date TBA shortly.
Speaking to the anthology angle, Boroughs Publishing Group has a subscription service where readers can sign up for batches of Lunch Box Romances - I think that's a wonderful way to try out new authors.
Happy Spring!
Paula
