As 2012 Dawns I'm excited about the prospects that lie ahead for all of us.
I continue to hone my craft and writing skills. I treated myself to a copy of Elements of Fiction Writing: Conflict & Suspense by James Scott Bell, and have immersed myself in the excercises in the book.
I have three WIP's (works in progress) on my word processor and can't wait to see how they turn out.
As most of you know I decided to go Indie and join the rebels this year: I self-published both my novels on Amazon.com, both the e-version, and then the Paperback editions through CreateSpace.com, Amazon's paperback division. I also put one of the novels up for Nook, the Barnes & Noble e-reader.
60 copies of the two novels have sold this past month - I am stunned and amazed and so grateful to everyone who bought a copy, told a friend, and so-on. Your support blows me away and I am honored that you took the time and spent your money to read my crosss-genre' romantic suspense novels with the hallmark of justice embedded in the story.
I dedicated a special page on the website to purchase the books - got to Buy My Books.
I'll be talking about Indie publishing on the blog this year, and all of the things that I have learned through this very informative creative process.
I also hope to interview several authors this year and talk with them about their process - kind of a "Joes ask the Pros" conversational dialogue, if you will. Check back to read the posts and leave a comment and join in on the conversations.
Thank You again for all your support and Good Wishes in 2011 -
Here's to a Happy and Prosperous 2012.
Paula
